Details Unlike standard time-based systems, SMART defrost technology only defrosts when ice builds up in the evaporator and stops as soon as the ice has melted. Cyclopentane insulation is used as an ozone-friendly replacement for R134a-based foams. The range is certified by ECA in the UK and Energy Star in the USA to show they provide long-term financial savings while reducing their impact on climate change.
