Greener insulation from Williams Refrigeration

All of Williams Refrigeration's modular cooling products - including coldrooms, retarder provers, blaster chillers and freezers, cabinets and counters - now use a new insulation foam with a low global warming potential (GWP), which has been developed with BASF to help caterers meet their corporate social responsibilities.
The new foam - a rigid polyurethane (PUR) - combines environmental and energy-saving benefits with optimum thermal performance. For example, 25mm of PUR provides the same thermal efficiency as 860mm of brick.
The foam uses chemicals that do not deplete the ozone layer and incorporates flame retardants for fire safety.
