Birmingham-based silver and tableware manufacturer Heritage has announced a partnership deal with china manufacturer Wedgwood.

The deal, which will secure jobs, is expected to be worth at least £1m to Heritage Collection, a family business based in Small Heath.

As part of the deal Heritage will produce a new range of exclusive silverware for Wedgwood's hospitality division. Helix, has been specially designed by Heritage designer Nathalie McDonagh and will be available to clients all over the world, including Emirates Airlines and Royal palaces.

The Helix range will be available in Wedgwood's catalogue alongside other exclusive brands such as Vera Wang and Jasper Conran.

Martin McDonagh, chairman of Heritage, said: "It is a significant coup for us to be associated with such a prestigious worldwide brand as Wedgwood, and confirmation of the originality and desirability of our products. We look forward to a long and lucrative partnership."
