For a quick and easy bar snack, how about a hotdog? Datamonitor statistics reveal that the snack foods market is worth £9b a year, with £14.4m generated by hotdog sales alone.

Herta frankfurters are precooked and need to be reheated to above 63°C before serving. They can be simmered, steamed, grilled, fried or microwaved using equipment such as a bain-marie or roller grill.

The ambient frankfurters have a nine-month shelf life and come in the following pack sizes: 50g (10 per pack), 90g (eight per pack), 90g king size (seven per pack) and 140g (nine per pack) - all packed six to a case.
