Highland Spring rolls out eco-friendly plastic bottles

UK bottled water supplier Highland Spring is rolling out a new, eco-friendly plastic bottle shape for its sparkling water range that it claims is the lightest on the market because it uses 9% less plastic.
The supplier worked with 999 Design to reduce its 500ml bottle to 21.5g and its 1.5 litre bottle to 38g. The labels for both sizes also use 39% less paper.
The group features in the 2010 Good Shopping Guide as a leading ethical supplier of bottled water.
