Host Milan 2015 reveals line-up
The organisers of Host 2015 have released details of some of the major global players to exhibit at this year's show when it takes place in Fiera Milano in Rho, Milan from 23-27 October 2015.
Features at this year's show will include a focus on the cold foods sector, showcasing the latest state of the art equipment with a busy schedule of events and international matching of supply and demand.
The show, which is recognised as one of the most important equipment shows in Europe assists manufacturers, suppliers and buyers and covers 12 halls divided into three main macro-areas that bring together professional catering and Bread-Pizza-Pasta; Ice Cream-Pastry, Coffee-Tea and Bars-Vending Machines; Furnishings and Tableware.
1,500 buyers and tens of thousands of visitors from around the world are expected and more than 1,000 companies have already signed up as exhibitors.
Among the overseas exhibitors, the Middleby Corporation's range of systems, will include deep fryers and rapid and countertop cooking equipment. Under the brand name TurboChef, it markets a line of ovens using innovative Connect technology, in which the oven "scans" the type of food and automatically selects the fastest and best cooking method.
Elisabeth Knitz, senior marketing manager international, for warewash manufacturer Winterhalter who will also be exhibiting, said: "Winterhalter is a leader in the design of dishwashing systems that save energy and costs and with our main markets in Europe and Asia, Host is a key event for us."
Among other features, this year sees the return of Extraordinariamente Hosts, in partnership with the Association of Professional Italian Chefs (APCI). The 2015 event, which consists of sessions with expert professionals from different fields, will focus on pizzerias, an area that offers a particularly generous range of original ideas and innovative products for the catering industry.
The second edition of the HOSThinking awards, are designed to innovative formats, as well as Host Smart Label, which gives awards for sustainable innovation.
In the year of the World Expo, Host2015 aims to consolidate its role as a trend-setter and as a hub for innovation in products, formats, consumer tastes and the latest trends in design and lifestyle.
