Hotelympia 2016 sets The Stage

Hotelympia's 2016 Stage line-up has been revealed, with Edwin Kramer, hotel manager of the London Edition, and Marcus Kilvington, the founder of FoodProfits, confirmed as speakers.

Kramer has been briefed to reveal the secrets behind the success of the London Edition while Marcus Kilvington, the founder of FoodProfits, will present a business seminar on ways to improve profitability.

With crowdfunding increasingly popular to fund expansion and launches within hospitality, a dedicated panel including Eric Partaker, co-CEO of Chilango, Fraser Thompson, CEO of Chapel Down, and Thomas Davies, chief investment officer, Seedrs, will debate the risks and rewards of raising capital through this means.

On the second day of the show, Diego Masciaga will offer show visitors an insight into what it takes to run the front-of-house at a Michelin-starred outlet and Wednesday sees restaurant designer Afriditi Krassa talk about her award-winning work behind projects for Heston Blumenthal, Hilton hotels, Itsu and Dishoom, while wild food restaurateurs, Richard and Oliver Gladwin, follow with a presentation on the art of Foraging, advising on what to look for and where to find it.

Toby Wand, managing director at event organiser Fresh Montgomery, commented: "Yet again the Stage will have it all: trends, insight, debate, surprise, inspiration, celebration."

A series of high-profile guests are scheduled to speak on topics including future trends; crowdfunding; banishing bad service; biophilic design; the chef crisis and affordable interiors.
