Efficient and effective equipment and technology will be on show at the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering show
Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HRC) returns to ExCel London from 20-22 March and will welcome thousands of buyers and operators to test, taste and discover the latest products from the best suppliers in the market. Here we look at some of those you can expect to see in the technology and equipment aisles.
Hoshizaki's latest refrigeration range will take centre stage. The Premier range boasts a number of energy-efficient (climate class 4 and 5) refrigeration cabinets that have been designed to meet the needs of busy commercial kitchens without forgoing durability. The Premier cabinets also feature the latest smart technology and air circulation, meaning food freshness is optimally preserved.
Stand visitors can also explore Hoshizaki's range of ice-making solutions, which includes the latest KM crescent ice-maker models.
Synergy Grill Technology
Synergy Grill Technology will be showing its range of grills with the brand's chef cooking live on the stand so visitors can see and sample foods that have been cooked on the grill. Visitors can also learn more about Synergy's Smart technology, which allows the electric range to heat to high temperatures at a lower cost.
Mechline will be demonstrating how operators can achieve next-level cleanliness, food preservation and waste management with its HyGenikx system, which reduces the risk of cross-contamination, spoilage and odours, and its suite of FOGS (fat, oil, grease and starches) solutions.
Exclusive Ranges will be showcasing Celsius Black, the energy management package from Menu System, as well as its multifunctional range of cookers from JIPA International. Following a recent announcement, Exclusive Ranges will also exhibit its new brand partner, Normann, manufacturers of professional rapid blast-chillers. The Italy-based company has its roots in the field of cruise ships and now designs and manufactures its range of rapid blast-chillers for the restaurant, pastry and ice-cream industries.
Meiko will be ‘thinking green' with its latest BioMaster food waste recycling system alongside its new M-iClean U range of undercounter dishwashers and its Reusable Cup Washing and Drying machine for cups and food containers. The star of the stand will be the new 2023 M-iClean U range featuring an improved heat recovery tank that cuts operating costs up to 21%.
Fourth helps restaurants with data-driven workforce and inventory technology to deliver insights and demand forecasting for optimising operations, maximising margins and empowering employees. Fourth eClock is a new time and attendance app that is a cost-effective solution that records staff working hours in real time, enabling operators to take control of labour costs, ensure accurate payroll and manage productivity at the touch of a button.
Panasonic will be demonstrating the NE-SCV2 Speed Convection Oven and the NE-C1275 Combination Oven. Using Panasonic's Inverter technology, the SCV2 can gently heat soup or toast a panini in under a minute, all with a small footprint. The versatile NE-C1275 can help save operators money by using less energy, and save time by using its multitude of cooking capabilities.
The Foodservice Equipment Association (FEA) will focus on giving visitors solutions to some of the major challenges facing the hospitality industry today. FEA experts on the stand and around the show will offer advice on subjects such as staff retention, reducing running costs, improving cooking quality, food safety and waste management.
FEA is also running keynote sessions at the HRC show's Networking Hub, where a panel of industry experts will cover three critical areas: training and ensuring staff know-how to get the best from the equipment you have; maintenance and how to keep equipment working as well as it can; and investing in benefits by using the government's super-deduction, a 130% capital allowance on qualifying plant and machinery investments.
Manufacturer and supplier of catering equipment Welbilt will be profiling its range of Convotherm combi ovens, Merrychef high-speed ovens, Crem EX line espresso machines and the Olis Diamante 70 and Diamante 90 ranges of professional kitchen equipment. There will be live cooking on the Merrychef eikon e1s and the new Convotherm mini mobile.

Wexiödisk will be showcasing three of the brand's most sustainable solutions: Duplus, Ecoflow and PRM (pre-rinse machine system) which, when used together, can save operators 9,000 kwh of energy. Stand visitors can also calculate how much water, energy and chemicals they can save by using Wexiödisk's new online calculator tool, alongside a prize draw.
