23 March 2012 by

Disposables and packaging supplier Huhtamaki ](http://www.foodservice.huhtamaki.co.uk)has won the [Foodservice Packaging Association's ](http://www.foodservicepackaging.org.uk/)Marketing Award for a bridal dress inspired by the royal wedding that is made entirely from compostable paper cups.

Commissioned by Huhtamaki and the organiser of the [Footprint Awards](http://www.footprint-awards.com/)

"The dress was commissioned as a thought-provoking, fun take on the importance of recycling - an issue which is somewhat out of the hands of the packaging manufacturers but which needs to be encouraged and supported by the operators themselves in order to satisfy consumer expectations," said Linda Salt, UK foodservice marketing manager at Huhtamaki.

The dress remains on display at Huhtamaki's base in Gosport, Hampshire.
