JLA Group strengthens its catering division

The JLA Group has announced its acquisition of two further catering businesses, Newco Catering Equipment and Comcat Engineering as part of the growth strategy for their JLA Catering division.

Newco, based in Coventry, have been trading since 2003 and are a leading provider in the servicing and supply of catering equipment across a broad range of market sectors. Comcat, with offices in Inverness and Aberdeen, have been providing high quality repair, installation and maintenance services to the commercial catering industry across north Scotland for over 15 years.

Alongside JLA's existing UK-wide team of sales consultants and engineers, Newco and Comcat's expertise and experience will further enhance the customer offer and service response. The move also means customers will benefit from a 40% increase in dedicated catering engineers.

Stephen Baxter, JLA Group CEO, commented: "We were attracted to both of these businesses because of the expertise they have, the regard they are held in and the people that have made them successful. They will complement our catering division perfectly and allow us to further strengthen our engineer coverage and service to our rapidly growing customer base."
