Caterers can add an Italian flavour to their menus with Brakes' Lasagna alla Romana and Italian Risotto Base.

Made with beef and pork meat sauce, layered with fresh lasagne sheets and topped with mascarpone sauce and pecorino cheese, the 450g lasagne portion can be oven-cooked or microwaved.

The Italian Risotto Base is made with Arborio rice, onion, garlic and herbs and spices, in 350g portions. Each comes in cases of 12.

For a spicy alternative, new ready-to-use sauces include Fajita, Cajun, Hot and Spicy BBQ and Jerk varieties. T

he spicy tomato Fajita Sauce with onions and peppers, the Jerk Sauce and the spicy Cajun Sauce with peppers, onions and celery come in 2.25kg portions in cases of two, while the Hot and Spicy BBQ sauce with mustard and dried chillies is in 2.25kg portions.

A range of fish and seafood is also available, including Cod Loins with Cherry Tomato and Chorizo Crust weighing 170-200g, available in cases of 10. Southern Fried Pangasius Goujons come in 20 portions weighing 50g each, and a Yellow Fin Tuna Burger with Mozzarella and Spring Onion weighs 140g and comes in cases of 15.

The Scottish Salmon Burger with Lemon and Coriander (140g) is available in cases of 15.
