The award-winning http://www.llanllyrwater.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Llanllyr Water Company now claims to be a carbon neutral company thanks to the carbon footprint reduction programme it launched in 2008.

The latest initiative from the Welsh supplier is a hydro-energy carbon offsetting project in Turkey in partnership with Carbon Clear.

The group's eco-achievements include:

â- Reducing its carbon footprint by more than 40% since 2009
â- Recycling 91% of its total waste
â- Using 17% lighter bottles made from 30% recycled glass
â- Sourcing boxes made from 90% recycled cardboard

Its gently-carbonated Llanllyr Source-branded water - which is suitable for low-sodium diets - has been drawn since 1180 AD from springs below certified organic farmland in Llanllyr, Talsarn, West Wales and was judged to be the Best British Water in 2009 by Imbibe magazine.
