Argentinian producer Trapiche has chosen the three 2005 vintage wines for this year's Malbec Single Vineyard Collection.

The limited-edition range is made from grapes from more than 90 growers in the Mendoza region, representing vineyards ranging from 57 to 97 years old in the Luj n de Cuyo and San Carlos areas.

The line-up - named after individual growers - incorporates Vina Fausto Orellana 2005, La Consulta (from the San Carlos area) and two wines from Luj n de Cuyo - Vina Francisco Olive 2005, Agrelo, and Vi¤a Eleodoro Aciar 2005, Perdriel.

All have been fermented in small, concrete vats over 23 to 27 days at 23-25°C and aged for 18 months in new French oak.
