Manchester City FC completes kitchen refit
Manchester City Football Club's (MCFC's) refit of the catering facilities at the Etihad Stadium is now complete.
Catering partner Fabulous Fan Fayre, a joint venture between Legends Hospitality and Jamie Oliver Fabulous Feasts, has installed 58 fast food kiosks and six hospitality suite kitchens as well as redesigned and refitted five hospitality box kitchens, all backed up by an enlarged central production kitchen.
MCFC appointed Caterware catering equipment to fit out, refurbish and deliver the high volume project.
More than 1,250 items of equipment were supplied and installed, including new combination ovens, fryers, water boiler stations, refrigerated cabinets and counters and drinks coolers.
The multi-million pound refurbishment will also benefit from a streamlining of catering workflows alongside updated energy efficiency, plans for which were drawn up by MCFC consultant executive chef John Benson-Smith.
Mark Drazen, managing director of Caterware, said: "This was always going to be an extraordinary and intense project, but the preparation by the Etihad Stadium team prior to our arrival meant we were able to commence work from day one.
"Through continual liaison with the MCFC project management team our own personnel were able to deliver to the highest of standards and we are extremely proud to be associated with such a prestigious end result. Working with Manchester City has allowed Caterware to demonstrate the very latest in cooking systems within a totally diverse but integrated Stadium environment."
