Manitowoc Foodservice Opens New Middle East Premises

Foodservice Equipment supplier Manitowoc Foodservice has announced the opening of its new Middle East facilities located close to Dubai Airport and Downtown Dubai.

The new premises includes a culinary demonstration kitchen and training center to provide assistance and advice on key brands such as Convotherm, Merrychef, Frymaster, Manitowoc Ice and Lincoln.

Speaking of the relocation and investment, Jean-Paul Roudier, vice president emerging markets said: "We have been very successful in the Middle East region and are still expecting further revenue growth for our cooking platforms. The new premises will further enhance our reputation as a global leader in professional foodservice equipment and systems with a high-performing service capability."

Investment in the provision of the new facilities has also been recognised by The Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG), the UAE's association of professional chefs. Uwe Micheel, president of the Guild, commented: "We are extremely pleased to see a manufacturer and established partner to The Emirates Culinary Guild with the size and scale of Manitowoc Foodservice opening a larger office and demonstration kitchen in the Middle East. The dedicated hands-on support available at the facility will be invaluable to independent and chain restaurants as they plan their menu development and food ideation; and will greatly benefit the region's young chefs as they focus on learning new technology-driven cooking platforms. The ECG is fully in support of such positive investment in the city of Dubai and UAE in general."
