Marston's specifies Lincat catering equipment

Marston's pubs has confirmed the specification of the Lincat catering equipment in use throughout its 1,100 managed and franchised pubs.

Marston's list of specified Lincat equipment focuses largely on Lincat's heavy duty Opus 700 range, which includes oven ranges, fryers and high-efficiency Vortech fryers with built-in filtration. It also includes Lincat's automatic water boilers and Opus combi steamers.

Andy Kershaw, group facilities manager at Marston's, said: "Lincat equipment is well-designed, well-made and competitively priced. But Lincat also impressed us with its speed of delivery for new equipment and the quality of its after-sales service."

Rob Gibson, group national accounts manager at Lincat, added: "We are delighted with the new partnership with Marston's. It operates a rigorous tendering process, which is understandable given the number of outlets, so the performance of our products was critical, not least in terms of energy efficiency. In the pub trials, our Opus 700 Vortech fryers, for example, were shown to deliver a significant reduction in gas usage."

The installation of the units is in progress.
