McGuigan to showcase wines at Meatopia and OnBlackheath foodie festivals

Australian wine brand McGuigan will be the sole wine sponsor this September for both the Meatopia food festival and the OnBlackheath music and food festival.

Both will see the launch of McGuigan's new Black Label Malbec, which McGuigan hopes to demonstrate as an ideal accompaniment to meat.

In addition to the Malbec, McGuigan will serve up its award-winning Shortlist range, Hand Made Shiraz (pictured) and the super premium Philosophy that is released in limited batches in the UK. The MT Pinot Noir Rosé, a collaboration between chief winemaker Neil McGuigan and TV presenter and chef John Torode, will also be available.

Visitors to Meatopia will have the opportunity to try Torode's miso steak with Asian slaw recipe alongside the selection of wines, during his demonstration at the show on the Saturday.

The Black Label Malbec showcases are the first in a series of events that will form the ‘Bring a McGuigan' advertising campaign, which will launch in September.

Meatopia takes place on 2-4 September at Tobacco Docks, London; and OnBlackheath is on 10-11 September at Blackheath, south east London.

McGuigan is giving away free tickets to both Meatopia and OnBlackheath in separate competitions via its Facebook and Twitter accounts.
