MSC-certified American Albacore Tuna from 3663

The world's first and only MSC-certified canned American Albacore Tuna is now available to the food service market through 3663, which has signed a deal with sole UK distributor MCM Select Foods.

The tuna steaks are sourced from the American Albacore Fishing Association (AAFA), a non-profit organisation set up in 2003 by a group of San Diego fishermen that now operates from 75 vessels. It is responsible for 50% of tuna caught in the North Pacific by traditional pole and line methods. The fishing grounds harbour younger, healthier fish that have low levels of mercury and high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids.
