Multi-bottle wine saver from Tipco Trading

WineSaverPro, which is manufactured by US firm Wine Gadgets LCC, is claimed to be the world's first multi-bottle wine preserve-and-serve system.

It was designed by a restaurateur to allow pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants to broaden the selection of wines offered by the glass while minimising waste.

The five-bottle stainless-steel system uses the preserving qualities of argon gas to prolong the life of opened wine bottles to more than 10 days. The gas is pumped into the bottles from a concealed pressurised container. This pressure dispenses the wine into glasses when the tap is released without any need to move the bottles.

Each container lasts for 18 wine bottles and the system includes storage space for two spare gas containers.

WineSaverPro can be used for both red and white wines, although many operators prefer to use separate units for each type.
