New products: Hotelympia products preview
Hotelympia is the UK's largest foodservice and hospitality event, and as we move steadily closer to the show, taking place from 29 February to 3 March at ExCel, London, The Caterer takes a look at some of the new technology products set to be on display
Crave Interactive develops guest-facing hotel tablets and apps. These include digital directories, room service and bespoke local travel guides, allowing guests to engage with a hotel from the moment of booking.

The Winnow smart meter can help chefs cut their food waste to improve profitability. It is claimed the system can help reduce food waste by a quarter after just one month in a kitchen. Over a year, it is said to reduce food waste by at least half.

Wi-Q's ordering and payment solution is a web-based, queue-busting system designed to put restaurant ordering and payment in the customers' hands. Wi-Q can be accessed on any Wi-Fi-enabled device and allows customers to pre-order or order their choices from the menu, alter that order, and then request or pay their bill from the comfort of their seat.

Its range of solutions use cloud-based technology to help hotels, serviced apartments and pubs achieve maximum occupancy at the most profitable rate. It will be showing a range of products, including Price Assure, an online room rate comparison tool, and Keez, a check-in and door entry app.

Kaba Mobile Access Solutions offers technology to allow guests to access hotel rooms, residential units, university accommodation and other protected facilities. The company can issue, revoke and update digital credentials on mobile devices using Legic Connect technology.
