Lucky Boat Noodles has launched its No.1 Thick Noodles for foodservice. The noodles are made using a superior grade wheat flour to a traditional Chinese recipe, it is claimed. They are easy to separate, take eight minutes to hydrate and are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Peabodys Coffee has launched the Pod by Peabodys, a coffee pod designed for hospitals and universities that can be up and running in 24 hours. The pod contains an espresso machine, grinder, boiler, high-speed Menumaster Xpress oven, undercounter fridge and freezer, ice maker, blenders, soup kettle, refrigerated display cabinet, utensil sink, Epos system and hand sink. The indoor pods are made in the UK using wood and steel, and the outdoor versions are based around the framework of a shipping container.
