A look at the latest products and equipment to hit the market.

Tea brand Saicho has launched a rare tea collection. Eight Immortals is a Chinese oolong tea with spiced aromas and complex bittersweet notes, named after the Chinese myth of the eight immortals crossing the sea. It is made with Dan Cong tea from the Guangdong province and should be served chilled in a Champagne glass.

Burton's Biscuit Co has added to its Lyons' Biscuits range designed for foodservice customers. The Lyons' Chocolate Sandwich Bar has a creamy chocolate centre and is covered in a milk chocolate. The bars are individually wrapped with 256 bars per case.

Frozen bakery brand Panesco has launched three new chocolate brownies in dark chocolate, pecan caramel and chilli cinnamon flavours. The latter is spiced with chilli and cinnamon and covered in chocolate ganache and chilli flakes. Panesco has also launched an apple crumble cheesecake.

Falcon has teamed up with Marren to launch the ScanHeat microwave – a system that allows users to scan the barcode on food packaging and pop it in the oven, with no need to unwrap the food or touch the control panel.

A new rum brand has been born in the Scottish Lowlands by three entrepreneurs, Ollie Blackett, Finnian Gill and Jack Cuddigan. They took inspiration from John Paul Jones, the adventurous naval hero, who was born a stone's throw from where the company is based. The rum has notes of banana, pear and oak with a dry ginger finish.

Venta by German brand Büchin Design has released a modular cooking system called Elements for theatre cooking indoors or outdoors. Elements consists of a set of table frames on castors (one, two or four panels) and cooking elements using induction. Users can interchange the cooking elements depending on the type of cuisine being served to guests.
