The key to the hygiene credentials of a disposable cup dispenser is largely down to the quality of the gasket, which seals the rim of the cup and ensures that just one cup is dispensed at a time. Château de Pommard in Burgundy has released its Clos Marey-Monge 2018. The flagship blend, Clos Marey-Monge Monopole, takes grapes from six of the château's biodynamic vineyards. The vibrant wine is a sophisticated Pinot Noir, offering notes of dried flowers, fresh roses and black fruit.

Gin brand Whitley Neill has launched two limited edition flavours: Brazilian lime, and strawberry and black pepper. Brazilian lime is flavoured with zesty lime, balanced with juniper and undertones of liquorice, while strawberry and black pepper has flavours of summery strawberry jam.

Hebridean island distillery Wild Thyme Spirits has launched an Old Tom-style gin, called Colonsay Gin Cait Sith (pronounced Caught Shee). The small-batch gin takes inspiration from Celtic folklore and the surroundings of the Isle of Colonsay, where the brand's spirits are produced. The gin (40% ABV) is drier than a Dutch Genever, but sweeter than a London Dry, with hints of orange, pink grapefruit and vanilla.

JJ Foodservice has added simit, a traditional circular sesame bread from Istanbul, to its own-label bakery range, as well as Turkish-style boreks, savoury pastries in cheese, potato, and spinach and cheese varieties.

Filta Group has launched Thermo Guard temperature screening stations, the Thermo Guard Solo and the Thermo Guard Hi-Flow. The Solo is available as a counter stand, short stand (60cm), tall stand (100cm) or wall-mounted model, and takes the temperature of one person every two seconds. The Hi-Flow model, with simple set-up included from Filta Group, offers fast screening of up to 30 people per second.
