Orchard Pig pledges support to British growers

Following a recent report on BBC Radio 4's PM show into the issues faced by British apple growers because of Russia's retaliation against EU sanctions, Orchard Pig, the cider and juice company in Somerset, has reiterated its commitment to using only the very best apples from Somerset and the surrounding area.

As Russia continues to ban the import of EU apples, the market has been flooded with continental produce, which has caused many cider producers to switch suppliers in favour of a cheaper option, with the UK's apple growers suffering as a result.
