Two reach-in overnight thaw cabinets from Williams Refrigeration have been designed to work alongside gastronorm freezers and blast freezers to safely defrost frozen foods under controlled conditions and so are ideal for caterers and bakers majoring in thaw-and-serve products.
Both HACCP-compliant units will operate efficiently within a 43°C environment and alternate forced-air heating and cooling cycles to keep food safely within the 0°C to 3°C range. This allows the food to be stored for up to five days after defrosting and means additional frozen foods can be added at any time without having any negative impact on foods already inside the cabinets.
The two units have stainless-steel exteriors with removable nylon shelving and feature easy-to-read digital control panels with thermometers; eco-friendly 75mm ODP zero foam insulation; and swivel and break castors for movability and stability.
The 376-litre S10T can hold 7 x 1/1 gastronorm shelves while the 752-litre S20T has the capacity for 14 x 1/1 gastronorm shelves.
