Paramount 21 gluten-free products certified by Coeliac UK
Frozen seafood and vegetarian foodservice supplier Paramount 21 has announced that its gluten-free range has been certified by Coeliac UK and is now licensed to carry the crossed grain symbol.
With demand growing and the market set to increase over the coming years, supply to the foodservice industry is still an issue. Research carried out by Coeliac UK as part of the Eating Gluten-Free survey in 2014 found that 77% of Coeliac UK members are more likely to buy a product with crossed grain symbol certification compared with a product that has not been certified by the charity.
Paramount 21's team of chefs aims to supply the foodservice industry with premium gluten-free products that can be trusted and do not compromise on taste.
Sarah Cumber, marketing manager at Paramount 21, said: "Gluten-free is a key consideration within our innovative NPD process. By being adaptable and offering gluten-free solutions we're able to reach a wider market and help our customers offer flexible menu choices."
