Philadelphia Young Chef of the Year 2011 named

Nuannapa Ratanakitsunthorn, a student chef at http://www.craftguildofchefs.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Westminster Kingsway College](http://www.westking.ac.uk/home/Default.aspx), has been crowned this year's Philadelphia Young Chef of the Year.

Ratanakitsunthorn took home a £500 cash prize for her winning recipe using Philadelphia cheese, while her college will benefit from £1,000-worth of vouchers to spend on equipment with [Continental Chef Supplies](http://www.chefs.net/).

Her star dish comprised breaded lemon sole stuffed with Philadelphia, peas and mint purée, roasted parsley Jersey Royal potatoes, mixed spring vegetables and a Philadelphia clam sauce.

Runners-up Nicole Waefler, Zoe Lewis and Danny Hoang each won a £200 cash prize for their dishes of ravioli, salmon mousse and wild garlic quiche

All four finalists also received a Philadelphia chef's jacket and a year's free membership of the [Craft Guild of Chefs](http://www.craftguildofchefs.org/). In additional, all four recipes from the finals will be published at [www.philadelphia.co.uk/professional](http://www.philadelphia.co.uk/professional) and on leaflets on Philadelphia 1.65kg packs.

The competition is a collaboration between [Kraft Foods](http://www.kraftfoodscompany.com/eu/en/home/index.aspx), the [Craft Guild of Chefs, City & Guilds and Sophie Wright and is targeted at trainee chefs in full-time education aged between 17 and 23.
