Pickled Partridge ale from Hall & Woodhouse

29 October 2008
Pickled Partridge ale from Hall & Woodhouse

Pickled Partridge seasonal ale is named after a traditional farmer's wife's recipe for partridge braised in ale.

The dark beer, with a roasted male character and hoppy spicy lingering flavour, has an abv of 4.6% and comes in 500ml bottles.
Suitable to serve with cheese platters and Christmas desserts, the ale's full flavour is enhanced by the use of crystal and chocolate malt.

The ale is made with Dorset Spring water that has been naturally filtered for up to a century through the Jurassic chalk downs and drawn up 120ft from the brewery's wells.

Hall & Woodhouse also sources its yeast from within Dorset and the Badger brewery yeast was last changed in 1934.
