A new line of innovative relishes and chutneys devised by ingredients supplier Beacon Foods with food consultant Nellie Nichols has already proved a hit with pizza manufacturers and caterers working in the transport sector of trains and airplanes.

"Many customers are considering using the new chutneys in speciality breads and as premium pizza toppings," said product development and sales coordinator Sarah Davies.

Inspired by seasonality, simplicity and provenance, the new range includes additive- and preservative-free chargrilled pepper compote, Kashmiri tomato relish, Moroccan carrot and orange relish, hot Indian banana chutney, golden pineapple with lime leaf relish, golden beetroot relish, red onion marmalade, and Somerset orchard chutneys.
