Porcelain hardneck garlic from The Really Garlicky Company

Scotland's only garlic grower, The Really Garlicky Company, provides an alternative to the softneck variety with its Porcelain Hardneck Garlic, which is closely related to wild garlic. The Porcelain Hardneck provides larger, juicier cloves than softneck breeds. They're even-sized with an easy-to-peel skin and a sweet, smooth flavour. They also have a longer storage life than other hardneck versions.

Caterers in England can order direct from the company (with free delivery on orders of 75lb of bulbs or more), while Wild Taste supplies Scottish customers. The company, which launched in 2001, has developed an eight-product line-up that includes garlic bulbs, crushed garlic and a range of premium garlic-based products to accompany them, including bread, butter, aioli, oatcakes, relish and cream cheeses.
