Brakes' Premiere Individual Nut Loaf has been entered in the Vegetarian section of Caterer's Excellence in Food and Drink Awards 2009.
A modern twist on a very established vegetarian dish with provenance and excellent quality and variety of ingredients. The nuts are large and mostly whole, including cashew nuts, peanuts, almonds and walnuts with Brue Valley Somerset Cheddar Cheese produced by the Clapp family.
The product exhibits a premium quality taste and wholesome texture. The loaf tin shape stands proud on the plate and can be served with a colourful mixed salad and new potatoes, as a roast meal or with a creamy mushroom sauce with steamed purple broccoli giving the chef a variety of options across their menus.
