Rare Vineyards is another exclusive line for Matthew Clark, designed by LGI-Alain Grignon Wines and destined for the on-trade only. The collection brings together unconventional wines from familiar regions using grapes from selected growers in the Languedoc.
All carry the new IGP (Indication Geographique Protegée) classification in place of the old VDP (Vin de Pays) marque.
The threesome includes a Vielles Vignes Carignan from a 40-year-old vineyard in Pays d'Hérault, a Malbec using fruits from vineyards near Béziers and a Pinot Noir sourced from Limoux near the Pyrenean foothills.
