Reduced-consumption laundry lines from Miele

Technology has reduced the use of raw materials, energy, and water in Miele's latest washer-extractors, tumble dryers and flatwork ironers.

Its washer-extractors work as well at 60°C as they did at 95°C in 1982, resulting in a 40% reduction in electricity consumption, a 44% and 55% drop in water consumption at 95°C and 60°C respectively, and a similar reduction in detergent use.

Profitronic M controls and an integrated weighing system (an option on washer-extractors with load capacities of 10kg and above) adjust the cycles and use of resources to meet needs. On tumble dryers with load capacities of 10kg or more, the Air Recycling Plus airflow and temperature controls improve efficiency by redirecting expelled air back through the system.

Gas heating (an optional extra on dryers with load capacities above 7.5kg and flatwork ironers and washer-extractors) can also cut energy costs, for instance, by up to 50% on the cotton programme.
