Rekorderlig to launch new orange & ginger cider in the UK

Swedish premium cider brand Rekorderlig has launched a new orange & ginger variant.

The drink will be supplied to the on- and off-trade by Chilli Marketing in the UK.

Rekorderlig, which already offers several other variants in 500ml bottles, including apple cider and pear cider (both 4.5% abv), as well as wild berries and strawberry-lime (both 4% abv), saw total off-trade volumes in the year to 24 December 2011 grow nearly 127% compared with the year before.

Senior brand manager Nicol Mason said: "Rekorderlig Orange & Ginger offers an incredibly refreshing, totally new taste. It has scored incredibly well in research with consumers, publicans and buyers and from this exciting feedback we think it is going to perform extremely strongly in trade."

Rekorderlig is owned by fourth-generation Swedish brewer Åbro.
