Restaurant diner locator from Long Range Systems – Hostec
Restaurant pager specialist Long Range Systems' new Key Call table locator will help quick-casual restaurant waiters find guests' tables more quickly so food is delivered to the right table at the right temperature.
Customers are given an order key after ordering at the counter, when a timer starts to count down. After they have inserted their key into the Key Call unit on the table, a wireless signal is transmitted to the Key Call status screen on a computer in the kitchen, which displays order and table number and elapsed time.
The order changes colour as time passes, making it easy to pick out late orders, and the system will page the service manager if the delivery time is exceeded.
When the food has been successfully delivered, the key is returned to the kitchen to stop the timer.
The system can also include a push-for-service button to allow guests to page staff for service and can be used to generate daily reports showing food delivery times and how many times managers are paged. It is best used with a touch-screen which LRS can provide.
The chrome-plated units have water-resistant cases for use outside and can be displayed in optional salt and pepper caddies.
