RFID monitored hand-washing system from HandGiene

Frequent hand-washing can prevent the spread of food-borne pathogens, such as salmonella and e.coli. US corporation HandGiene has come up with a three-pronged solution for supervisors to ensure staff are washing their hands when they should.

It combines a hygiene-compliant liquid soap or sanitising unit with radio frequency ID-enabled name tags or wrist bands worn by staff to monitor their hand-washing activity in real time.

The stored records comply with HACCP and ISO-9000 standards, as well as impending Government rules on documenting hand hygiene.
