Robust receipt printers from DED
The Star Micronics SP700 is an advanced line of high-speed receipt printers whose splash-proof and curved design makes them robust enough to use in kitchens, restaurants and bars. The nine-pin printers with their own internal power supply can produce 13 x 20-line receipts per minute in up to two colours at a speed of up to 8.9 lines per second.
Features include drop-in-and-print easy-loading paper, a window to check paper levels, a full or partial cutter, and a buzzer to alert staff to incoming orders. The printers have a footprint of just 152mm x 160mm and can be used flat or vertically, with a wall-mount bracket available as an optional extra.
They come in star white or charcoal grey cases in serial, parallel, USB or no interface versions, plus an option to add Ethernet or WiFi interfaces. The two basic models are the SP712 Tear Bar Printer and the SP742 Autocutter Printer, with paper rewind versions joining the line in May.
