Sales director Steve Martin departs Hobart after 33 years

Sales director for Hobart Cooking Solutions Steve Martin has taken the decision to step down and retire from the company at the end of September after 33 years following a restructure of the business.

He will gradually phase out his role and spend his final three months liaising with and handing over responsibility to regional sales managers.

Hobart is making changes to its business approach to ensure resources are targeted at key growth areas and as part of the new structure, distribution of the Wolf range of cooking equipment will become the responsibility of each regional sales team.

Martin began his career with Hobart as a Sales Executive in 1981, was promoted to field sales manager in 1987 and became a regional manager for East Anglia two years later.

He was appointed National Sales Manager in 1990 and Sales Director for Hobart UK in 2000. Following the segmentation of the business in 2011, he became sales director for Hobart Cooking Solutions.
