Sheppy's Cider celebrates bicentenary with music and cider festival

In celebration of 200 years of Sheppy's Cider, the premium craft cider maker is hosting a music and cider festival in Somerset this September.

On 3 September Sheppy's is opening its headquarters, Sheppy's Cider Farm in Bradford-on-Tone just outside Taunton, for a day of music and premium craft cider sampling.

The festival will start at 1.30pm (11am for campers) with headliners the Mangledwurzels, a Somerset scrumpy and western band, performing at 2.30pm. Other performers include Joey The Lips and Madness tribute band One Step Behind, covers bands Filta and StealWorks, and electro and guitar duo Showhawk.

Hot food stalls will be available throughout the day, including Pynes of Somerset's hog roast and a Pancake Pod. There will also be a cider bar full of traditional Sheppy's ciders, including its bicentenary edition, Old Conky, and its latest elderflower-flavoured cider.

Families will be catered for, with special appearances from Cinderella, plus a bouncy castle and family camping.

There will also be a dedicated camping area, with under-14s camping for free. Sheppy's will provide onsite overnight security and breakfast facilities in the morning.

Tickets cost £20 per person, with free entry for under-14s.
