Slunzo Japanese Green Tea from Cream Supplies

Slunzo Japanese Green Tea from Cream Supplies

The delicate flavour, nutrients and intense colour of Slunzo Japanese Green Tea are preserved by shielding the plants from intense sunlight before harvesting with a black mesh and lightly steaming the leaves to prevent oxidisation.

It is sold in 50g canisters as either leaf, which yields 13 pots of tea, or powder, which provides up to 50 servings. The leaf tea should be brewed traditionally in water below 80°C to prevent bitterness.

The versatile powder, which dissolves instantly, can be added to hot or cold water or milk, or used as an ingredient in frappes, shakes, sorbets, ice-creams, cocktails and recipes such as cupcakes (see below).
