Solar-powered ICE icemakers from Maidaid

The new ICE icemakers from Maidaid are manufactured using solar energy to keep financial and environmental costs low.

With units starting from £695, the six no-frill models offer outputs of 25kg, 35kg, 45kg, 60kg, 85kg and 130kg of ice per day, providing units for businesses of all sizes.

The largest model has a storage bin with a 65kg capacity that, in common with the other bins, has been thermo-moulded to produce a rigid, one-piece unit with reduced energy and materials requirements. The spray systems create solid, crystal-clear cubes that melt slowly, while flexible spray nozzles prevent clogging and the build-up of limescale.

Ventilation and access to the Europe-sourced components is built into the front, allowing the units to be mounted undercounter. The icemakers use a simple electromechanical control system.
