Steam-Max Rapid Steamer from Hatco

With almost a third of UK consumers trying to lose weight ‘most of the time,1' outlets of all sizes can cater for demand by offering healthy alternatives to fried and fatty foods. Steaming food such as meat, fish and vegetables offers a low fat choice without the use of cooking oils.

The new STM-4G Steam-Max Rapid Steamer from Hatco is perfect for rethermalising, steaming, warming and holding a variety of chilled foods, offering a cost-effective solution to the problem of steaming food without losing the moisture and natural taste.

The Steam-Max Rapid Steamer has no water connection and has low pressure for safe and easy operation. Compact, flexible and convenient, it takes only two minutes for the Hatco steamer to turn cold water into high temperature steam in the self contained one litre water tank, which offers 90 minutes continuous steaming at 100˚C.

The low pressure within the unit means caterers can steam fresh seafood like scallops, crab and fish or warm rice, soups and sauces in the Steam-Max, which can also be used for defrosting and rethermalising various seafoods. The versatile unit is even suitable for holding meat and steaming vegetables.

The STM-4G is an essential piece of equipment for a wide range of outlets. The compact design offers a small foot print for kiosks and smaller outlets but can still accommodate double level stacking to ensure capacity is maximised.

Additional benefits include:

  • Durability - a fully stainless steel construction
  • Maintenance - removable racks for easy maintenance
o Energy efficiency - Uses only 2kW of power to reduce energy costs
