A consumer survey commissioned by Steelite International has revealed that 81% of diners consider the quality of tableware when eating out to be important or very important and three-quarters of diners believe it is important for the style of tableware to reflect the establishment.

Luke Tipping, executive chef at Michelin-starred restaurant Simpsons in Birmingham, said: "Good food tastes great on any plate but a truly memorable dining experience requires a feast of the senses. While the smell and taste of food is essential, tableware is also key to creating a wow factor. Done well, good tableware doesn't distract from the food but rather ensures that it is shown at its full potential."

Steelite International's Optik range brings the latest architectural and fashion trends to the table. Created for fine dining, restaurants and banqueting, the range has a unique depth and texture, bringing a sophisticated dimension to the dining experience.
