Steers brings the authentic taste of South Africa to London with Hensons

South African restaurant chain Steers chose wholesaler and catering butcher Hensons to create authentic "taste of home" burgers for its debut restaurant in London.

Warren Bignell, commercial and buying director of Hensons, said: "Burgers are the new steak and consumers are trading up to premium products. Steers provides this with their braais and the quality of the grilled meat served.

"Both science and art is involved in making a better burger - from selecting best-quality beef marbled with just the right amount of fat, to perfectly forming each burger so that enough air is trapped to circulate the juices and ensure that it cooks quickly and evenly."
