Water filtration specialist Brita Professional has appointed Steve Buckmaster as sales director.

Since joining Brita in 2002, Buckmaster has lead the development of sector plans while coordinating with the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) and has increased sales in the catering sector by 25% in the last five years.

Prior to joining Brita, he worked in a wide range of roles in the foodservice sector including roles at Aramark and Häagen-Dazs.

Sarah Taylor, managing director of Brita UK, added: "Steve has been an integral member of the team for many years. The impact he has had within Brita has seen increases in sales and helped firmly position us as leaders within the market. That's why we are confident he will excel as our new sales director and we can't wait to see him driving our business strategy forward."
