Stockport Cheshire Cheddar from Milk Link

Farmers' co-operative Milk Link has launched its formerly limited-edition Stockport Cheshire Cheese into the food service sector. The speciality cheese is handmade using traditional methods at Reece's Creamery in Cheshire, and was originally launched in May to celebrate the 750th anniversary of Stockport Market, but proved so popular that an estimated eight weeks-worth of stock sold out in two days.

The cheese is pale with a delicate, tangy citrus flavour and tastes good cold or cooked, crumbling well into salads as an alternative to feta. Two formats are available to caterers - 20 x 250g blocks or 4 x 1.25kg deli blocks.
