Supplier press release: Essential Cuisine goes for growth and local jobs with brand new £1m facility

Essential Cuisine has unveiled a brand new, £1m state-of-the-art production facility at its headquarters in Winsford, Cheshire, bringing the majority of its total production ‘in-house' and opening up 15 jobs to people in the local community.

The 1500 sq m facility represents an expansion of the pre-existing plant of the British producer of premium stocks, jus, gravy, demi-glace and glaces. The development means customer orders can now be fulfilled with shorter lead times, while offering even more space for the Essential Cuisine development chefs to produce and hone new products.

Essential Cuisine managing director, Nigel Crane, said: "The new facility offers a real statement of our intent to grow as a business. Such growth won't come at the expense of our core ethos as a committed UK manufacturer, which is why we have looked to recruit and train people from across the local community. Not only will the new space mean quicker fulfilment times for our customers and an improved visibility of supply chain, it will also give us more space to create. Chefs are at the heart of everything we do, so we're especially delighted by this."

The company, which was established in 1995, has built the new facility on land acquired behind its existing office and warehouse premises. The move swells The Stock People's team to 39.
