Discerning chefs are able to capture the powerful taste of the ‘fruit of the woods' in their dishes with the launch of a new, luxury truffle oil from the market leader in cooking oils.
The product, which is a blend of the finest Olive Oil and natural truffle flavouring, is the latest addition to AAK Foodservice's PrepTM Premium Speciality Oils range and offers a new, exciting flavour to the already varied range.
Delicate but beautifully flavoursome, PrepTM Premium Truffle Oil is primarily used as a finishing oil, to drizzle, infuse and enhance dishes, but it can also be used in sauces and dressings and mixes well with products such as balsamic vinegars.
The product is extremely versatile and can be drizzled over vegetables, meat and fish before cooking, mixed into omelettes and scrambled eggs, stirred into pasta and risottos and used as a garnish for all kinds of dishes.
"Designed with the chef firmly in mind, this new truffle oil has a delicate taste and aroma, and is the ideal, inexpensive way to add that deliciously distinctive flavour of truffles," said Rachel Neale, marketing manager for AAK Foodservice.
"The added beauty is that, while it is a premium product, it is also cost-effective and you don't have to use much of this complex, convenient oil to create a full flavour. The only thing to bear in mind is that, while truffle oil can be used as a cooking oil, it should not be overheated or cooked for prolonged periods at high temperatures, as this will destroy most of the flavour."
PrepTM Premium Truffle Oil, which adds even more breadth and variety to the successful range of speciality and infused oils, is available in 250ml, 100% recyclable PET bottles (six to a case).
Bottles have a non-drip drizzle cap and are extremely light, whilst being strong and durable.
