Supplier press release: Warm up this winter with AAK and Christopher Basten

AAK, the UK's leading expert in edible oils and fats, is introducing its first ever Winter Warmers recipe book, packed with 10 mouth-watering recipes each using its Prep Premium speciality oils.

As a Craft Guild of Chefs business partner, the launch of the book sees AAK form a partnership with leading chef Christopher Basten, vice chairman of the Guild, who created all of the recipes.

Featuring starters, main courses, salads and a Chinese dish perfect for Chinese New Year, the recipe book draws upon a host of warming and nourishing ingredients, to create roast chestnut and sage soup, seared scallops and black pudding to rump of lamb ‘sous-vide' in garlic oil, curly kale and sage dumplings, char-grilled ‘old spot' pork cutlet to seared wild duck marinated in sesame seed oil with stir fry salad.

Each recipe uses one of the top quality Prep Premium specialty oils, which include Lemon, Garlic, Chilli and Basil Infused Oils along with Toasted Sesame and Balsamic vinegar, showing the incredible versatility of the range.

Designed to inspire even the most creative chef, the Prep Premium range brings a quick, flavour-rich and authentic influence to each of the Winter Warmers.

Christopher has trained with both John Burton-Race and Raymond Blanc, and will be taking on the challenge of the Craft Guild of Chef's chairmanship in 2013.
