Tarto Presto! is a new dessert kit from Belgian pastry specialist Pidy that will allow caterers who are pushed for time to whip up their own creations in minutes.
The starter box combines 24 x 8.5cm crisp shortcrust tartlets with an 8kg bag of creamy but low-fat (less than 3%) and preservative-free crème pâtissière.
All the caterer needs do is combine these ingredients with a fruit topping for a customised tart.
The crème pâtissière can be stored for up to 12 months at ambient temperatures before opening, and then for eight days refrigerated between 4°C and 6°C.
